To fulfil its mission and realize its vision, the WSJI has established the following key aims and goals:

1. Strengthen Legal Protections and Improve Justice System Response
a)  Advocate for policy/legislative changes to close legal loopholes and strengthen
accountability
b) Enhance law enforcement training, protocols, and victim-cantered approaches
c)  Expand access to legal aid, trauma-informed services, and restorative justice programs
2. Enhance Community Safety and Scale Prevention Strategies
a) Invest in public safety infrastructure (lighting, cameras, transportation, etc.)
b) Scale community-based violence intervention and bystander education programs
c) Promote workplace safety policies and workplace-community partnerships
3. Advance Women’s Economic Empowerment and Leadership
a)  Provide entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and access to capital for women
b)  Champion pay equity, leadership development, and family-friendly policies
c)  Support women’s financial literacy, asset-building, and economic independence
4. Centre Inclusive Engagement and an Intersectional Approach
a) Amplify the voices and leadership of marginalized women (disabled, etc.)
b) Build diverse, representative coalitions and partnerships
c) Conduct rigorous data collection, research, and impact evaluation
